About Us

MOM is a local non-profit organization that leads a community-wide effort to prevent homelessness and end hunger for our neighbors throughout Middleton, West Madison and Cross Plains. Through our business partners, affiliated churches, area schools, community service clubs, and numerous individuals, we provide food, clothing, housing assistance, emergency financial assistance, and special services for seniors. All programs are provided free of charge to neighbors in need.

In 2010:

There were 8,000 household visits to the Pantry, and we distributed nearly 215 tons, or 11 semi trucks worth of food. | At thrift store prices, the Clothing Closet alone saved households a total of $242,000. | Approximately 100 bags of Groceries were provided for clients everyday the pantry was open. | There was a 31% increase in people using the Food Pantry and it’s programs. 45% of people served were children. | Volunteers for the Seniors Program served 200 seniors over the age of 60, giving rides and helping with chores, donating over 3,000 hours. | Our Housing Assistance program gave out $78,000 in small grants to 430 families, ensuring a stable roof over their heads. | Over half of the food we gave our was donated through food drives and everyday donations. | Seasonal Programs impact: 700 students received school supplies and backpacks, 1350 people received a thanksgiving basket, and 1,700 people received Sharing Christmas gifts.
