About Us

Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. With the help of those who want a safer future, MADD’s Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving® will end this danger on America’s roads. PowerTalk 21™ is the national day for parents to talk with their kids about alcohol, using the proven strategies of Power of Parents, It’s Your Influence™ to reduce the risk of underage drinking. And as one of the largest victim services organizations in the U.S., MADD also supports drunk driving victims and survivors at no charge, serving one person every 10 minutes at 1-877-MADD-HELP.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of MADD. It is their compassion and determination that drives the organization and it is their tireless efforts that have accomplished so much. Join these ordinary citizens who have become extraordinary activists in saving lives.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering a couple of time a year or a couple of times a week, there’s a place for you at MADD. And we have a wide variety of opportunities to match your interests and expertise.

Are you new to MADD and want to learn all about what we do and how you can help? Or maybe you've been around a while and want to know the latest and greatest in programs and services. Whatever your motivation, please plan to join us for a Volunteer Orientation!

We'll teach you all about MADD's history, mission and what's going on right here in central Texas. You will learn about all the exciting volunteer opportunities we have, and will leave with the tools to help spread the word to put and end to drunk driving.

We've got a lot of work to do, and need your help to do it, so come learn how to get started!
