Peter's Place

  • Mission

Peter's Place's mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children, teens, and their families can get support as they work through the healing process following the death of someone significant in their lives. Our work is based on the belief that grief is a burden no child should carry alone.

    About Us

Volunteers at Peter's Place provide comfort and safety for grieving children and adults. Peter's Place offers support groups for children, teens, and young adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. On-site services are free of charge. During groups for children and teens, adult caregivers participate in their own support groups. Support groups are facilitated by a combination of masters level staff and well trained volunteer Grief Facilitators. Peter's Place also does off-site outreach programs in schools and other communities who are grieving. Volunteers participate in these outreach activities to help educate adults in the community about creating safe and nurturing environments for grieving children.
