Backpack International Inc

Founded in 2016 by Oslyn Rodriguez, who is also a certified school teacher and administrator. Oslyn believes all children should be given the tools to become successful citizens of their community. Since 2016, Backpack International has helped students in eight countries, with new countries added every year. In 2021, Backpack International was awarded the Eagle Award by Auburn Chamber for their outstanding community service. One of their most successful projects to date was in December 2021. Through a collaborative effort, the organization shipped a 40-foot container to Guyana filled with brand new bicycles for all the children in a remote village of Guyana. Their current projects include building the first library in a village in Guyana, and also providing hospital scrubs to medical professionals in developing countries.
