School Choice Scholarships, Inc.

In 1998, concerned citizens, leaders in their community, came together to form School Choice Scholarships. These individuals wanted to improve the educational opportunities for children from low-income families in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Every day, affluent families are able to choose the school that best meet their children's needs and interests but lower income families don't have these same opportunities. The School Choice program awards partial tuition assistance scholarships to low-income families committed to their child's education.

School Choice Scholarships is the only private voucher program in Kentucky. It is also one of the oldest and largest private scholarship initiatives in the United States. Since 1998, our support has provided close to 4,000 low-income children, the priceless opportunity to access quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. these scholarships are valued at close to $7 million dollars investment in our community and our children in need.
