Manavta
About Us
In Sanskrit, Manavta (pronounced Maa-navta) means Humanity.
- We are a non-profit organization that builds sustainable sanitation facilities at rural schools.
- Our toilets turn liquid waste into a high-nitrogen fertilizer and hard waste into soil conditioner for farms nearby.
- We involve community leaders in all aspects of our work; by building these toilets together, community members know how to fix them. This is sustainable from a grassroots level, as there aren't very many plumbers in rural Nepal.
- Our education plan is critical to the success of our projects. We run hygiene and sanitation workshops, delivered by local health practitioners and educators.
