Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments
SAVE's mission is to strengthen every individual and family we serve with the knowledge and support needed to end the cycle of abuse and build healthier lives. SAVE is located in Southern Alameda County, California, and serves any victim of domestic violence regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, faith, language spoken, or geographic location.
SAVE is a non-profit community-based organization founded in 1976 to address the needs of victims of domestic violence and their families. We offer complete services from crisis to the establishment of a violence-free, self-sufficient life. SAVE's array of services includes emergency shelter, 24-hour hotline, counseling, a youth program (teen dating violence awareness and prevention), workshops and classes, victim advocacy, and community education and outreach.
SAVE is funded by federal, state and local jurisdictions, private foundations, corporations, and concerned individuals.
