About Us

Mission of American Heart Association: To build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Top Prevention Priority: By 2020, the AHA wants to improve the cardiovascular health of ALL Americans by at least 20%.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers to participate in the new Long Beach Heart Walk that will take place on November 10, 2012.

Below are just a few of the many ways, we are each individually touched by the American Heart Association:

Community: We make local communities healthier by impacting smoking laws, food policies and physical activity at schools.

Healthcare: We help improve the healthcare system by training healthcare professionals about heart and stroke procedures, advocating for patient rights and helping advance the best quality care.

Education: We help people live healthier lives by educating them about how to prevent heart disease and stroke.

Research: We save lives by funding research and discovering scientific breakthroughs.
