About Us
The Colorado Springs Sports Corporation - also known as The Sports Corp - is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization committed to establishing a strong regional presence in Colorado through positive economic development and contribution to the quality of life for our citizens. Through event promotion and community development activities, The Sports Corp is able to recognize outstanding athletes and coaches each year. The Sports Corp plays a strong role in bringing city and civic leaders together with some of the state's premier sporting organizations and events which include but are not limited to: the United States Olympic Committee, national and international sports organizations, the Rocky Mountain State Games, State Games of America, USGA Senior Open, Australian Rules Football U.S. National Championship, USA Triathlon Youth & Junior National Championships, U.S. Women's National Ice Hockey Qwest Tour and many other high profile events.
The mission of the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation is to:
- Attract, retain and support local, state and national sports organizations and businesses
- Attract, create and retain sporting events that contribute to the quality of life for citizens of the Pikes Peak region
- Support the economy of Colorado Springs by promoting the region as a destination for sports business, competition and meetings
- Support youth sports through the recognition of athletes and coaches
