St. Francis School

  • About Us

The St. Francis mission was established in the 1920’s and it has become a tradition for many families to educate their children here. St. Francis of Assisi School is a small, K-8, mission school. Lumberton is located in the mountains of northwest New Mexico, just 3 miles off the Jicarilla Apache Reservation (Dulce, NM). Through the years we have averaged about 85 students, 90% being of the Jicarilla Apache Nation and 10% of Hispanic Ancestry; all have English as their primary language.
