    About Us

Midland County Search and Rescue (MCSAR) is an independent, non-profit, all volunteer organization which works closely with the Midland County Sheriff's office. This is primarily a ground search and rescue organization.

Midland County and surrounding communities experience a lost person at a rate of more than one per month. We are well trained in the latest techniques in search management and planning. Our members are physically fit adults over the age of 18, who enjoy public service and being out of doors. Training is required for full membership and a commitment to an ongoing training program is required to maintain your membership. A background check will be required.
