    The Aasha Foundation provides comprehensive social, recreational and educational enrichment support for girls residing at a shelter home for girls in Mumbai, India.

    Our programs integrate the girls with broader Mumbai society and provide them with the same kinds of experiences as their middle-class peers. They attend private schools, speak English, and receive quality healthcare. They enjoy a range of regular extra-curricular activities from karate to basketball to music to swimming. Our support also includes sending them to university and helping them get settled into their early adult lives.

    Our goal is to help these girls and young women to achieve their own personal career and life goals and to be able to lead productive, independent adult lives.
