    VillageScholar.org is a forum for educators, parents, and students to share ideas, strategies, as well as personal experiences, about teaching, parenting, and mentoring children in at-risk communities. VillageScholar was founded on the principle that “It takes a Village to raise a Scholar.” The site features articles contributed by residents of The Village, including scholars and journalist, as well as repostings from other sites. Village Scholar currently resides within the Institute for Urban and Minority Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.
