Magee Womancare International

Magee Womancare International (MWI) is a nonprofit organization that serves as the international outreach arm of Magee-Women’s Hospital and Magee-Women’s Research Institute and Foundation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are completely funded by local, national, and international grants and private donations. Our MissionTo build healthier communities through international and local health initiatives for women and families that address health disparities and culturally appropriate health care delivery to minority, under-served, and at risk populations.What We Do: Advocate, Educate, Train, EmpowerMWI implements international and local women's health initiatives that advocate and address:

• dignity and respect
• education and access to accurate health care information
• leadership and empowerment
• access to quality health care services
• women and children’s rights related to their health and security

Through our unique health initiatives, Magee Womancare International's geographic outreach extends around the world and has brought about profound change in Pittsburgh and in countries near and far.
