The Valley Opportunity Council is the largest and most diverse Community Action Agency in the area. With this Federal designation, the VOC has established a powerful network of support and collaborative services intended to encourage community members to actively achieve self-sufficiency for themselves and their families.

VOC's community service programs represent an effective network of community service specialists. This highly experienced, professional team provides direct assistance and guidance to people within the community, on a wide assortment of challenges, as they seek to achieve self-sufficiency.
OUR INVESTMENT IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE
Our 2012 annual budget of $33 million dollars is a significant investment in the Holyoke and Chicopee communities. These dollars translate into active and real revenues for the payment of services, training, and material acquired in support of our many community based programs. VOC also represents a significant economic investment in the community as a major employer of over 250 staff members and 150 local vendors!
VOC's action-based programs assist the development of personal skills. In this capacity, VOC leads the way for individuals and families to access appropriate resources within the community which provides jobs, training, and education opportunities so vital to the goal of attaining self-sufficency.
