RSVP is a National Service program that taps the skills, talents and experience of more than half a million Americans to meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other impact areas. Friends RSVP, serving in Merrimack, Rockingham, Strafford and Belknap Counties, mobilizes caring individuals to meet community needs by sharing their time and talents through meaningful volunteer activities at more than 85 non-profit and municipal organizations. More than 600 RSVP volunteers serve local senior nutrition programs, food banks, congregate meal sites; provide transportation and companionship to elderly persons to help them remain independent; serve as tutors and mentors for youth; help veterans and active military members; and help public and non-profit agencies provide hundreds of services to people more economically.
