About Us
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization founded in 1987, dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. As the largest private funder of suicide prevention research, it focuses on funding scientific research, educating the public, advocating for policy, and supporting loss survivors through local chapters in all 50 states.
