HEBREW BURIAL & FREE LOAN ASSOCIATION OF NEW HAVEN INC

The Hebrew Burial & Free Loan Association of New Haven, Inc. (HBFLA) offers interest-free loans to individuals and families whose needs are urgent and who may not qualify through normal financial resources. Interest-free loans instead of charity, fill an important gap in our social system by promoting self-sufficiency with dignity. HBFLA affirms the ancient biblical requirement for interest-free lending by offering assistance to Jewish people in need with the goal of helping them to lead more rewarding and responsible lives. We manage two cemeteries in the New Haven area and provide free burial plots to individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford a proper Jewish burial.
