I'lam harnesses the right to freedom of expression and the strength of the media to advance a more democratic, open and just society.

I'lam is the only Palestinian NGO in Israel that builds the professional capacities of journalists and educates the Palestinian minority to mobilize media platforms to promote their human rights. We also believe in engaging the Israeli public sphere and advocate for fair representation in Hebrew media content and proportional representation of the Palestinian community in Israel (PCI) in the media workplace.
