Okoa Refuge is an organization in Masaka, Uganda which was established as an orphanage to rescue abandoned and neglected children of all ages, in the name and love of Christ. It has expanded to include community development, family rehabilitation, sex trafficking rescue, and a health clinic.
Okoa medical Clinic (also known as House of Joy) is a primary care facility run entirely by a Ugandan staff of ten people and opened July 2017 with the help of an American team's funds and oversight. The clinic is currently offering a missionary opportunity (internship) in health administration for this clinic, to facilitate marketing, accounting, and spiritual growth. The internship would last at least one year and would require the participant to raise partial funds.
