Friends Of Brooklyn Lab supports the mission of  Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School: to prepare scholars with the academic foundation, digital literacy, and leadership skills necessary to succeed in college and professional life as they grow as ethical leaders.

Brooklyn Laboratory High School is based on the belief that every young person deserves to learn in a school with high expectations for their academic success, no matter where they start. At Brooklyn Lab, students are called “scholars,” signaling the high bar the school sets for them and their learning. All students take Advanced Placement courses, beginning with pre-AP classes in 9th and 10th grades. Scholars receive the support they need to succeed—in part, through a custom-built digital platform that highlights in real time what students know, what they need to learn, and how best to get there. Based in Brooklyn’s Tech Triangle and primarily serving low-income students, Brooklyn Lab’s vision is to forge connections with nearby businesses, colleges, and research centers to create a rich network of learning and opportunity.
