Ventura County Resource Conservation District
Mission
VCRCD's mission is to collaborate with landowners, government agencies, and other willing partners to facilitate the conservation and restoration of Ventura County's natural resources for current and future generations.
About Us
The Ventura County Resource Conservation District (VCRCD) is a special district of the state and is primarily funded by grants. VCRCD provides assistance to help both rural and urban communities to conserve, protect, and restore natural resources.
VCRCD is a local unit of the government and is administered under the provisions of Division 9, of the Public Resource Code, State of California. VCRCD is one of 99 RCDs in California and belongs to the California Association of RCDs (CARCD).
VCRCD is governed by a board of seven Directors appointed for four-year terms by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors. Directors must be landowners or agents of landowners residing within the District.
