  • Mission

Wildlands Trust works throughout Southeastern Massachusetts to conserve and permanently protect native habitats, farmland, and lands of high ecological and scenic value that serve to keep our communities healthy and our residents connected to the natural world.

    About Us

Founded in 1973, Wildlands Trust is one of the largest and oldest regional land trusts in Massachusetts and has helped to ensure the protection of 8,500 acres of natural and agricultural lands. Currently, we have seven full-time and four part-time staff carrying out the day-to-day activities of the organization. We also have interns, seasonal employees and volunteers who assist us on a regular basis. Our Board of Directors comprises 18 committed individuals from the communities we serve.

Partnerships play a large role in our work to protect land and we are proud to partner with dozens of agencies and non-governmental organizations including the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game, The Nature Conservancy, Massachusetts Audubon Society, Trust for Public Lands, The Trustees of Reservations and the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences.
