  • Mission

To Shrink the time between disaster and recovery.

    About Us

In August, Hurricane Harvey unleashed unprecedented rainfall across Texas causing severe wind and flood damage in the southeast of the state. Hundreds of thousands of Texas residents need help to find a prompt, predictable and efficient path home. SBP exists to shrink the time between disaster and recovery, and just as SBP has done in eight other disaster impacted communities around the country, we have committed to staying to rebuild long after national attention fades. In order to have a greater impact, SBP is working to share its model with other organizations, thereby raising rebuilding capacity across the state, and is advising state leadership on how to structure a prompt, efficient and predictable recovery.
