Mission
Sustinere assists smallholder farmers and indigenous groups in areas affected by deforestation and poverty to implement environmentally sustainable and profitable economic practices through reforestation and agroforestry, raising awareness and promoting sustainable development, empowering women, girls and youth, and conducting research related to environmental sustainability, carbon markets and green growth.
About Us
Sustinere is getting started with projects in Canada and South America (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil), and will actively contribute to reforestation efforts in the Boreal Forest and the Amazon Forest. With an average of 1.7 billion hectares of treeless land across the planet where trees could be planted, ecological restoration is one of the world’s top climate-change solutions and Sustinere is working to plant 4 billion trees by 2030 to combat climate change and loss of biodiversity.
