  • About Us

Crittenton Services, Inc. embraces children and families in need with nurturing services to help them achieve self-sufficiency. Crittenton . has been serving the state of West Virginia for 116 years. Florence Crittenton was a little girl from New York City who died when she was four years old. Her life inspired her father, Charles Crittenton, to name a worldwide network of rescue homes for "fallen" and needy women after her. He came to the Wheeling, W.Va. area in the late 1800s and opened the Florence Crittenton Mission house. We have developed through the years to help better serve the communities we serve by offering not only residential maternity care for teenage girls but behavioral health services and education. Our motto is Believe-Achieve-Empower!
