  • About Us

    APOYAR is a private non-profit organization founded by Araucan professionals, with more than 17 years of experience in executing support projects aimed at improving the quality of life of socially vulnerable communities and population groups as well as protecting the environment in the Orinoquia region of Colombia. To achieve these goals we cooperate with national and international organizations like UNDP, UNHCR and many more.

    Mission. Strengthen and develop human capabilities aimed at promoting civil participation, gender equality, social inclusion and peacebuilding.

    Vision. By 2022 APOYAR will be recognized as the leading NGO in the north-eastern region of Colombia for project development and data generation based on research and social intervention.

    Lines of work. I - Protection of children and adolescents. II - Comprehensive Early Childhood Care. III - Human rights and peacebuilding. IV- Prevention of sexual and gender-based violence. V - Institutional and communal strengthening of women, youth, LGBTI and indigenous people.

    Members. APOYAR is made up of a General Assembly of Associates, Board of Directors, and the personnel assigned to the different projects. Currently there are 75 people, located in 3 offices in the cities of Arauca, Saravena and Tame.
