The McFaddin-Ward House was built in 1905-1906. The Beaux-Arts Colonial style home and its furnishings reflect the lifestyle of the prominent family that lived in the house for seventy-five years.
Today, the museum offers tours of the home, carriage house, and gardens, as well as year-round events and programming. Through education and community outreach, the museum reaches a wide range of audiences. From school tours and internship opportunities to educational lectures and activities, the McFaddin-Ward House Museum offers something for everyone.
Tours are offered Tuesday through Friday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. for $3 per person. On Saturdays tours are offered at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. for $3 per person. Sundays feature a free first-floor tour. Call (409) 832-2134 for tour details and reservations.
