The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
About Us
The Salvation Army of Champaign County is dedicated to assisting Champaign County residents by offering social service programs. The Salvation Army Red Shield Center is comprised of The Family Thrift Store and Social Services Department. The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store provides access to affordale clothing and furnitiure items. The Family Thrift Store accepts donations weekly Monday - Saturday. The Social Services Department provides Champaign residents with access to the food panty, utility assistance, supportive services for veteran families, and much more.
