  • Mission

A Frog House is a center for ecological education and local government advocacy which offers workshops and events for all ages to learn about the crucial role of frogs in the environment. We inspire ecological education through the whimsy of frogs. As an indicator species -the "canary in the coal mine", the presence of frogs helps us know when our environment is unpolluted.

    About Us

Today, the problem of global climate change can't be ignored, but change can seem inaccessible to the individual. A Frog House educates the community about the survival patterns of frogs and toads through serious community workshops for all ages, exploring topics like frogs’ place in the food chain; the impact of pollution and chemicals; and what we can do to help!

But it’s not all serious at A Frog House; we are also dedicated to learning through play at our charming house on the Erie Canal, making A Frog House a nature destination for the whole family and an easy way to get kids involved in nature! Above all, A Frog House encourages patrons of all ages to ask, "What can I do to help?"
