New Deal for New York

The work of the New Deal for New York campaign is focused on base-building and direct action to advance job creation and progressive revenue generation in New York, offers a vision for a new economy in New York State that is forward thinking, green, and entrepreneurial. It is building the foundation for a 21st Century economy that is sustainable for workers through new employment opportunities, for families through wages that can support a household, for the environment through smart growth and ecological development, and for businesses that will have the workforce, infrastructure and capital they need to grow. Upcoming work will focus on extending the NYS millionaires tax, which would generate nearly $5 billion that would be used for the public services and structures New York's families rely on. Strategies will include leadership development and creative direct action work, as well as aggressive media work and relationship-building with allied organizations.
