Teachers College Community School

The Teachers College Community School is a university-assisted demonstration public school in Harlem, affiliated with Teachers College. The school opened in 2011 and is adding one grade each year through grade 8. In the 2016-17 school year, TCCS will serve 300 children in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 5.

We are seeking educators with a track record of collaborative teamwork, experiential pedagogy, integration of technology, and a demonstrated commitment to student achievement and to ongoing professional growth.

The TCCS mission is to establish a dynamic learning environment that nourishes children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being. TCCS classrooms also serve as centers for curriculum development and educational research related to key questions in teaching and learning. TCCS is an active professional development site for pre-service and experienced educators where learning can be shared and extended across schools. Teachers College provides intellectual, human and fiscal support to enrich student learning as well as teacher professional development.
