About Us

Chhoti Si Asha is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization which works for building sustainable livelihoods for the underprivileged women & youth in Chandigarh (India).

The initiative was founded in 2006 and operates a livelihood program where the community members learn vocation skills for making hand-stitched bags, file folders, office stationery, lifestyle décor products etc. The organization also works to deliver market-driven employability programs to enable educated but unemployed youth integrate into the economic mainstream.

Aside of livelihood programs, Chhoti Si Asha’s helps it’s community in availing Government schemes in education, vocational training & public food distribution system . It also focuses on inner development of the communities it works with through workshops on meditation, street theatre, hygiene and co-operative game- playing.

The initiative is registered under the Indian Society’s Act and operates out of Karuna Sadan, Sector 11, Chandigarh
