Corita Art Center
The Corita Art Center of Immaculate Heart Community is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the works of artist, activist, teacher and former nun Corita Kent (Sister Mary Corita). The Center was founded after Corita's death in 1986 by her former sisters of the Immaculate Heart Community as part of their mission to foster peace and social justice.
Known primarily for her outspoken, spiritual pop-art of the mid 1960s, Corita's work continues to speak to audiences today. Our primary focus is to spread Corita's message through organizing exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad and facilitating scholarship in our extensive archive.
