About Us

With dignity and love, we provide clothing to impoverished and homeless schoolchildren in Wake County. We find it unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school. When one of our referral partners identifies a student living in poverty, they send us a request for the clothing needed, as well as for the child's immediate family members. Each student receives two weeks’ worth of outfits, including: new socks and underwear, shoes, tops and bottoms to mix, match, and layer, and seasonal outerwear.

Our model for getting the clothes to the children strives to remove some of the stigma that goes along with needing help, by delivering the clothing to the referral agency. The families do not have to repeat their story one more time, nor go to a location to pick through the leftovers of donated clothing. A child does not need to wear the same pair of pants over and over, nor be seen on the bus carrying home a bag of donations. We deliver a wardrobe that has been lovingly selected for that individual by one of our volunteers. By providing stylish, good quality clothing items that they can be proud to wear, we empower children to succeed in the academic environment.

In the year 2020, we seek to "Clothe 5000 with dignity and love!"
