MQ Foundation

The MQ Foundation (“MQF”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2018 to raise funds for mental health research projects in conjunction with MQ: Transforming Mental Health Through Research (“MQ UK”), a UK charity that was founded in 2013. MQF’s mission, like MQ UK’s, is to transform mental health through research. MQF and MQ UK believe it is time to shatter the status quo and fund research to create better diagnoses and treatment options for those suffering from mental illness. MQF and MQ UK work together as “MQ.”

As the exclusive North American partner of MQ UK, MQF promotes public awareness and supports research into the nature, cause, diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of all forms of mental illness. MQF funnels funds into mental health research to discover more effective treatments, faster diagnoses, and better care for those who need it, and to encourage promising young researchers to stay in a chronically underfunded field.

MQ UK was fortunate to secure £ 20 million in start-up funding from the Wellcome Trust in the U.K. Thanks to this backing, MQ quickly sparked global impact. MQF’s efforts are now focused on raising more funds and growing its presence in North America so that MQ can sponsor more research.
