U S ZEN INSTITUTE INC

The US Zen Institute (USZI) was founded with the generous support of the greater DC Asian immigrant community, particularly the Buddhists among them. Over the past two decades, their support has allowed us to establish a strong presence in Maryland. Our current mission is twofold: to expand and enhance our existing programs for a comprehensive understanding of Buddhism globally, and to engage in local interfaith activities that truly improve the quality of life for all individuals, with a particular focus on Buddhists. We are committed to the glocalization of Buddhism.

USZI acknowledges the societal and global challenges posed by ongoing globalization. We consider it essential for Buddhist organizations like ours to collaborate with all faiths in addressing these issues in the long term.

We extend a warm welcome to individuals from around the world who have an interest in Buddhism to visit USZI.
