About Us

Serving All Vessels Equally, Inc. (SAVE) is currently seeking a seasoned leader who can offer strategic, financial, and management oversight as part-time Executive Director. There is potential to transition to a full time.

SAVE is dedicated to the mission of supporting, sustaining and strengthening the outcomes for youth in Norwalk. The organization was established in 2006 and operates several programs to help youth get on the path to a satisfying and productive adulthood.

Check and Connect is a dropout prevention program based on the idea that students need help meeting their academic goals. The program uses mentors to connect deeply with students who are struggling and provides continuous monitoring of each student’s performance. Referrals are encouraged to ensure the student’s needs are met.

Pen or Pencil is a play on words. Penitentiary or Pencil is an innovative approach to teaching and inspiring young people who are struggling through today’s intense social, environment, family and school dynamics.

Youth Council for Justice (YC4J) is a youth-led, adult supported social justice program that empowers youth ages 8 – 18 to express themselves and to take appropriate action on the issues that affect their lives. Issue awareness forums are conducted at school and advocacy campaigns are initiated to bring the identified concerns to light.
