The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) provides water to more than one million people in Southern Nevada and employs more than 1,400 regular full-time staff and approximately 480 interns/work study, temporary, limited-term and contractor staff.
The Water District is one of seven member agencies that make up the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), a regional agency formed in 1991 to address Southern Nevada's unique water needs on a regional basis. The Water District also acts as the managing agency for the Water Authority. Many employees work for both LVVWD and SNWA.
