    Family Rescue is dedicated to eliminating domestic violence in the Chicago community by providing comprehensive support services and shelter to victims of domestic violence, particularly abused women and their children, engaging in advocacy to promote future system change, and encouraging prevention through community education.

    About Us

    Family Rescue provides comprehensive services to over 1,500 survivors of domestic violence each year throughout Chicago's south side through four core programs: emergency domestic violence shelter with our 24-hour hotline, transitional housing, community outreach, and legal advocacy.

    Interested volunteers must fill out an application (available through the volunteer page on our website) and also send our volunteer coordinator a copy of a recent resume. Please be advised that we have very minimal opportunities for individuals who are only available during the evenings or weekends.
