About Us

Texas After Violence Project is a nonprofit organization based in Austin working toward a more just and less violent Texas by encouraging people affected by violence to share their experiences, preserving underrepresented voices from the criminal justice system, and inspiring community conversations as a way to move toward a more just and less violent Texas. TAVP hosts three main initiatives: the Storytelling Project, the Conversations Project and the Culture Project.
