Stewards Individual Placement Program

Stewards Individual Placement Program is proud to work with federal and local partners to create lasting community change. While each team remains independent in its focus and funding structure, each team is also part of a larger network which includes team members, supervisors, funders, staff, and partners across the country. Stewards Individual Placement Program strives to create a better future for people and for the environment by supporting and investing in the next generation of leaders. Together with a robust network of partners, Stewards Individual Placement Program encourages and supports team members and alumni to continue their service to the country by going on to work in government, nonprofit, private, and academic sectors.

Stewards AmeriCorps VISTA Members serve with nonprofits, local governments and federal agencies. Stewards AmeriCorps VISTA Members commit to serving for one year—earning a living allowance of 110% of the poverty wages in the community they serve. These dedicated individuals focus on nonprofit leadership development by building capacity through grant writing and partnership development, conduct outreach and education, promote economic development and foster environmental stewardship. Upon completion of their year of service the Member will earn an Eli Segal Education Award valued at the same rate of the current Pell Grant.
