About Us

Our mission is to change lives and strengthen communities by providing affordable mental health care to people in need. 

We envision and work to create empowered communities where mental health care is a right, not a privilege. 

Vital community programs include: general and trauma-informed individual, couple, family and child counseling at our main building on Pico Blvd and at our partner site in South Los Angeles, Watts Labor Community Action Committee; groups and programs serving domestic violence (women and men), best practice parenting, teen violence, LGBTQIA+ teens, rage resolution/anger management, meditation & compassion, school-based counseling at nearby LAUDS schools, psychiatric services, EMDR, and more.

Training programs include:  2 to 3 years of training for those on the LMFT/LPCC/LCSW licensure track focusing on clinical skills, family counseling, and trauma & resiliency counseling; 6-month community counselor course training those from other agencies with counseling skills applicable in work and personal scenarios; gang awareness training and other continuing education courses offered throughout the year.
