Citizen Schools Houston

Citizen Schools is a non-profit organization who partners with public middle schools to expand the learning day and close the opportunity and achievement gaps for low-income students in Texas. During an extended day we not only teach kids academic skills and strategies, but also give them access to hand-on, project-based learning activities called apprenticeships which are led by volunteer professionals in the community.
