MISSION & Purpose

CHRISTUS Health Foundation Southeast Texas shares the mission upheld by CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System: to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.  We serve as His hands to all who come into our care, offering both physical and spiritual healing.

To that end, the purpose of the Foundation is to develop philanthropic support for CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System, as well as produce a greater amount of community participation in and awareness of CHRISTUS’ mission, goals, and aspiring vision for the region.   The Foundation joins CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System in committing to the creation and achievement of its strategic plan.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation, and is licensed by the state of Texas as a charitable organization, exempt from federal income tax under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Any donations to the Foundation made by individuals and/or their estates are deductible for federal income, gift and estate tax purposes, under the provisions of Internal Revenue Code Sections 170, 2055, 2106, and 2522.

VISION

The Foundation champions CHRISTUS Southeast Texas’ vision to be “a leader, partner and advocate in the creation of innovative health and wellness solutions that improve the lives of individuals and communities so that all may experience God’s healing presence and love.”  The Foundation, led by the Board of Directors, will act as a responsible steward of funds raised, and involve a broad spectrum of the community to support quality healthcare provided by CHRISTUS Health Southeast Texas.
