Piedmont Center for Sustainability

Piedmont Center for Sustainability's mission is to demonstrate and encourage sustainable living practices so that everyone will have the knowledge and confidence to live sustainably. Our ultimate goal is to acquire land on which to establish a sustainability resource center, including demonstrations of sustainable living practices, a food forest, and a retreat center. We are seeking active, fundraising board members, as well as volunteers to help build gardens. See our website for information about our plans to help Greensboro live up to its "green" name!

Our first program is a build-a-garden, get-a-garden project where folks can work on their neighbor's garden and in return have some help getting their own garden set up. We're looking for community organizers to help us identify low-income neighborhoods that would be interested in having this program in their area.
