    Your American Cancer Society is committed to decreasing cancer incidence, decreasing mortality from cancer and increasing quality of life for everyone through research, prevention, early detection, advocacy and service. Our organization is unique because of our grassroots ability to organize community effort in fighting cancer. The thousands of volunteers who give their time are a vital force in fulfilling our mission. Because of support from communities such as ours, the American Cancer Society provides a variety of programs to make life easier for people touched by cancer in our community. And with continued support, we look forward to reaching our ultimate goal -- the cure for all cancers
