The Way Home

Recovering a life of thriving faith in the aftermath of spiritual abuse.

The Way Home walks with people through church hurt, loss, and spiritual abuse, showing compassion and helping them find their way back to a faith that is honest, free, and their own.

We serve survivors of spiritual abuse and adult clergy sexual abuse, those who have walked this road alongside them, and the counselors, pastors, and churches working to respond well. Our work includes:

• A weekly virtual support group
• Resources that name spiritual abuse accurately, including red flags, forms of abuse, and how harm happens
• Church consulting
• One-sheets and tools for counselors and care professionals

We believe in right-naming: using accurate, non-minimizing language about spiritual abuse and its effects. Our approach is trauma-informed, scripturally grounded, and honest about complexity. Hope that's real has to be earned.
