Junior Wildlife Ranger

  • About Us

Junior Wildlife Ranger is a hub for Jr. Ranger programs around the United States. This educational program, which takes place at National Wildlife Refuges in California, Nevada, Texas, and New York, instills an appreciation for our public lands system and the outdoors in youth ages 7-12. Participants gain an appreciation for the outdoors and for the unique ecosystems in their backyards. We are a project of the Earth Island Institute, a 501(c)3 dedicated to supporting innovative solutions to environmental issues.
