    The redevelopment of the Pikesville Armory presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to enrich the civic life of the greater Baltimore County-Baltimore City region and to invigorate the Reisterstown Road commercial corridor in the heart of downtown Pikesville. Pikesville Armory stakeholders are united by a Shared Vision, which was developed during the Governor’s Commission on the Future of the Pikesville Armory

    “The future of the Pikesville Armory should be held in the public trust and utilized for the benefit and use by all segments of Pikesville’s diverse community. It is envisioned that the Pikesville Armory will be a multi-use venue for recreation, arts, and other community programming.”

    The Pikesville Armory Redevelopment will:

    • Unite a diverse community;
    • Build regional partnerships between the State, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City;
    • Support equitable economic development;
    • Celebrate and honor military service;
    • Advance youth development;
    • Establish a destination venue for cultural arts & recreation;
    • Create dynamic public open space for people of all ages; and
    • Activate iconic Maryland architecture.
    • Revitalize a declining commercial corridor
